Raywood Homes Reaches Out to Reaching Our City

Raywood Homes knows how important it is to invest in the future of our children. Reaching Our City is a non-profit dedicated to providing resources and programs for the local community to engage in and benefit from. The organization has two food pantries, a resale shop, weekly women's program, and youth and children's programs. They work hard to serve the least of these. They primarily focus on the community around their location @ NW 10th & Council Rd. in OKC, OK.

We have been involved with Reaching Our City for some time now and wholeheartedly believe in the mission. We have started a new tradition of providing funds necessary to send a child to the REACH Summer Camp. Children who most likely would end up stuck at home all summer long have the chance, through this camp, to grow and learn while surrounded by amazing mentors.

The children's camp is called REACH. Reaching Our City / Education / Achievement / Creating Hope is what the REACH acronym stands for. Jennifer Couchman is the REACH Camp Coordinator. The camp is from 6/5/2017 - 7/6/2017 locally. The children are picked up from their residence and the fun begins! They have a variety of daily activities to engage in at the ROC facility as well as a weekly field trip. ROC plans to take the kiddos to places like the OKC Zoo, The Science Museum, The Museum of Osteology, and to a day camp called Shiloh Camp. From 7/10/2017 - 7/13/2017 the children go to a camp in Tishomingo, OK called Camp Bond. Each day a lunch is provided by, The Regional Food Bank. As the summer camp winds down the ROC hosts a family dinner / event so the parents can engage and witness how the camp changes their child's life.

When people and organizations come together, a huge impact can be made. If you believe in loving the community around you so those at risk have a fighting chance for a better future; please contact Reaching Our City and give today!
