Oklahoma Memorial Day Events

Yukon:


Memorial Day is a special day for the community to come together and give thanks for all of the sacrifices made while protecting us and our freedom. Join in honoring our veterans this Memorial Day in Yukon, OK. Veterans will be honored locally at the Yukon Cemetery, 660 Garth Brooks Blvd., on Memorial Day @ 11am. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony at the Yukon Veterans Museum. 1010 West Main.

Oklahoma City:


- 45th Infantry Museum, 2145 NE 36. Monday @ 10am


27th annual Chuck Wagon Festival will be held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum on Saturday and Sunday. The event features campfire cooking, historical re-enactors and a number of children's activities. Festival hours: 10am - 4pm both days.


- Memorial Day Celebration is on Monday at the Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13313 N Kelley Ave. The event starts at 10am


- On Monday, @ 10:30am, Memorial Day will be celebrated at the Union Soldiers Cemetery, @ NE 36 and Martin Luther King Avenue.


Bethany:


Saturday from 10am - 4pm


Patriotic event featuring an open air tent where a number of performances will be held throughout the day. Kiddos are encouraged to dress up as their favorite super hero for a special parade.


Car, truck and motorcycle show will be held. Food trucks and a pony ride will be available.


Moore:


The Bruce January VFW Post 8706 and American Legion will hold their annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park, 1900 SE 4th Street, on Monday @ 10am.


Rock the Park will take place Saturday from 6 - 10pm at the Dr. Curtis Berry-Central Park, 700 S Broadway Ave. The event will feature a concert by Superfreak and food trucks will be on site.


Norman:


14th annual Norman Veterans Car Show will be held on Saturday from 10am - 3 pm at the Norman Veterans Center, 1776 E Robinson Street. The show benefits disabled Veterans of Norman and will feature a wide variety of classic and modern cars.
